Sennan City.

In the Middle Ages it is a pilgrimage road to the Kumano Sanzan Shrines which is a World Heritage Site, in the Edo Period it has developed and prospered as a way for the Kishu Tokugawa family for the daimyo’s trip to Edo. In addition to the townscape still remaining at station town (Shindachizyuku), there are various sights such as Noda Fuji, Honjin ruins(main inn), National Historic Site Kaieji Temple and The Center for Archeological Operations of Sennan City.
